Julia in our sewer team wants to share with us:
Since the announcement of lockdown at the end of March, I've begun to learn how to sew. Inside the sewer chat room, a group of people were discussing which sewing machines to purchase, and which materials to use for HK masks... and at this very moment friendships were formed! We were all working towards the same goal, to help others!
Although we have never met in person, our fighting spirit shines through in these desperate times, and each and everyone of us has contributed in our area of expertise. From nothing, to planning, discussing the formation, actual sewing, receiving orders and logistics. What seems to be an easy job turns into a continuation of progress and refinement as each of us strive to give that extra bit back to this community that we love so much!
To see this small gesture so well received within Australia, make us truly honoured. Even though, the name "Oriental Pearl" may not be as bright today, our HongKonger's spirit, passion and our “never give up attitude” lives on!”
